Happy hour is a great time to visit the bars along the beach since they offer daily specials and will not be as expensive! Those seeking peace and tranquility will prefer staying in the newly developed areas of La Veleta and Aldea Zama. However, there are bike lanes on most main roads. Unlike neighboring Cancun and Playa del Carmen which has been developed over the years , Tulum retains a wild, jungly setting and unique architecture. We went to town on our first night in Tulum and were able to relax and just have a nice evening.
